The tiger live only in the asian continent; it is a carnivorous predator and is the largest species of felidae in the world along with the lion.

It is a solitary and territorial animal that usully inhabit dense forest, but  also open areas, like savannahs. Typically, the tiger hunts medium or large animals, usually ungulates. In the six different subspecies of the tiger, there is a very significant variation size. Male tigers are much larger in size than females. Similarly, the territory of a male generally covers an area larger than that of a male.
