Why do you think the economy is better in most of the capitalist countries (Western Europe) than in most of the communist countries (Eastern Europe)?

The term Western Bloc, also called the capitalist bloc, American bloc and Western bloc refers to the countries that, during the Cold War, aligned themselves with the United States against the Soviet Union and its allies (the latter known as the Eastern Bloc or communist). The governments and the press of this bloc were more inclined to refer to as the Free World or the Western World. Western Europe is a controversial term used to refer to the non-communist countries of Europe during the Cold War, but the concept is still used occasionally for quick reference by the media
