Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452. He was the son of a notary and a peasant who never married. Until the age of five he lived in his mother's house, but later he began to live with his father and stepmother and occasionally with his grandparents. He had twelve stepbrothers and stepsisters who were much younger than him.The year 1466 begins to practice various activities in the workshop of a sculptor named Andrea del Verrocchio. There he starts painting, sculpting and designing.Leonardo da Vinci became a painter, sculptor, engineer, inventor, musician, writer and architect, and was considered a great genius. He was always very interested in anatomical studies of the human body and could draw human organs in great detail.He was accepted into the guild of painters of Florence in 1472 and opened his own painting and sculpture workshop, so his fame began to grow and he was commissioned many different and very important works.Throughout his life he was at the service of several dukes who commissioned sculptures and paintings of their families to teach them in their halls and gardens, but what really interested him was inventing new vehicles, weapons and objects.Although he was always creating and building new works, the struggles he had while he lived, both the struggles and rebellions that took place after his death, were the culprits that many of the things he created were destroyed, burned or lost, including his remains that They were thrown in an unknown place after a war.He died on May 2, 1519 in France.
