many people think that gifted children are weak lonely people who wear glasses and are often sick. they think that because these children are very inteligent, they spend a lot of time studying alone, and so have few friends. in 1922, Lewis M Terman at Stanford university wanted to see if this was true. He started a study of 1500 gifted children. The study continues today. He quickly found that most people have the wrong idea about gifted children! In fact, Terman found that in many ways gifted children are exactly liv the rest of us.
