In terms of the internet an avatar is a graphic representation that's associated to an user for his or her identification. The avatar represents the user. Avatars could be photographies, drawings, cartoons or anything that is in the correct format for its use.

For example, we are going to describe the avatar that the famous singer and actress Selena Gomez has in the social network Instagram. (Anexo 1)

In this case the avatar is a picture of Selena, specifically a portrait picture, she is somewhere in the nature, maybe the woods, behind her we can see some branches of trees, she has a deep look in her eyes that gives you a peaceful vibe. She has short black hair, a messy and carefree style and very basic makeup. She has a pair of silver hoop earrings with a heart pendant. She also has a very delicate chain necklace that is almost indiscernible.
 
It is a very iluminated photo with a blue sky in the background. The avatar is a simple representation of what she is and wants to represent in her last single: a very beautiful and sexy woman different from the child that we were used to see.
