Hello, today I am going to talk about the customs and traditions of Ireland

Ireland have a very damp climate, and rains during all year sometimes in a light and mild way. It is also known as Isla Esmeralda, for the poem of Erin de William Drenan.
The most inhabited cities are Dublín, Cork, Galway, Waterford and Limerick.
Ireland is a country full of culture and tradition, that they have their roots and history in Celt culture, that even though time has passed retain their identity traditionally.

Traditions

The most famous festivity in Ireland is “St. Patrick”, the day of the celebration is march 17 of every year. Is a popular celebration in the world. Originally it was a religious celebration in honor of the teachings of the patron of Ireland. In this date, they use colour green, the traditionalati clover in the clothes and the decorated. The green color represents spring and joy. The clover symbolises the teachings of the Santisima Trinidad that St. Patrick wore, who was a priest from Scot, that used to place a clover in his clothes as a metaphor to explain the mystery of the Santisima Trinidad.

During the day they celebrate innumerable parades and at night there is a party, concerts and festivity in the pubs of all Ireland.

The costume of elf is other custom that form part of this festivity. The people think that these little men are synonym of luck and abundance. For this is very common to see people with this funny costume.

Food

The diet of the Irish is based in meat and patatoes.

The most famous Irish food is the Irish Stew that is prepared with lamb, onions, patatoes and a Little parsley.

Other typical food is el Colcannon, mashed patatoes with leaf of cole and onion.

Wedding

Irish wedding are very beautiful ceremonies. How tradition couples chose to honor the ancient Celtic rite that is the couples unen join their hands through a tired loop.
The famous custom of marring use something blue, something new, something used and something borrowed is of Irish origin.

The Irish bride often add to their white drees a crown of flowers in her head, as in the Celt clothes. They do not use veil to cover their faces.

Music and dance

Music is a vital part of Irish identity and has always been.
Traditional Celtic melodies are stories passed down through generations.

The instruments that make up the sound so characteristic of traditional Celtic music are the flutes, bagpipes, violin and low whistle.

The traditional Irish dance is a group dance, fast and with rapid movements of the feet, it is a beautiful dance.

Christmas

Is one of the most important traditions in Irish Christmas decorations and that is always present in an Irish home. They place a large candle in the entrance or in some of the windows of the house.

This candle which lights the house on Christmas Eve, is a symbol to welcome the holy family and can only be extinguished by a girl or woman named Mary.
