¿Quien es Neil Kurshan?

 Rabbi Kurshan grew up in New Jersey.  Before studying for the rabbinate, he graduated  from Princeton University and later received a degree in Education from Harvard University. During his rabbinical studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary he served as a student rabbi in Rockland County. He was ordained in 1978  and soon went on to his first pulpit at Congregation Beth Israel in Port Washington, where he served for  seven years.  He came to Huntington Jewish Center in 1985 and has lovingly guided us and enriched our lives here at  HJC for the last 30+ years.  Among the highlights of his leadership have been educational programs such as  Hebrew literacy, Shabbat literacy, the Spirituality Institute, five adult Bat mitzvah classes, and five congregational trips to Israel.  He has initiated numerous novel community programs at HJC  including, but not limited to : Shabbat Under the Stars, Minyan in the Park,  Friday Night Live, the Wise Aging program, Torah Teasers,  and Rabbi’s Movie Night. I hope I've helped :)
