(A) _________________ I’m finally on my way to one of the

most incredible places in the world that I’ve always wanted

to visit. I am really excited. I have prepared for the trip to

Giza by watching different documentaries and looking at

thousands of pictures.

(B) _________________ I’ve come across a couple of books

that have given me an idea of the things I can see and do

when I get to Giza.

I’ve got to admit, I didn’t know what to pack for this trip,

but I’ve already made up my mind and have packed the

kind of things that will surely be useful.



I’ve had a great time traveling around Egypt, but there

have been a couple of things that have represented

challenges for me. The traffic is a bit complicated here,

as well as all the dust and noise. I’ve had to get used to

chaotic Cairo! There are so many people crossing the

street at the same time that it has made my heart beat

faster than normal. I have never felt like this before.



(C) _________________ I’m proud of myself because I found

my way to the pyramids on my own. I had to use the local

transport and I also managed to ride a camel by myself.

(D) _________________

The pyramids are incredibly astonishing. However, one

thing in particular has caught my attention more than

anything else: the Great Sphinx. I have stared at the statue

from different angles and, at times, I feel it is coming to

life and opening its jaws and swallowing me up! That’s an

image to remember!



I can’t believe I’m back in town. Now I ask myself:

(E) _________________ I feel like my time in Egypt passed

by in the blink of an eye. Luckily, all the memories and

experiences of this trip will stay with me forever.
