It were seven years ago. (debería ser was ya que es it al igual que she, he)

Negativo: It wasn´t seven years ago

Interrogativo: Was it seven years ago?

Respuestas: Yes, it was - No, it wasn´t  

My grandfather was a pilot.

Negativo: My grandfather wasn´t a pilot

Interrogativo: Was my grandfather a pilot?

Respuestas: Yes, he was - No, he wasn´t
