Find the surface area of a rectangular prism that is 3 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet

The surface area of bases is ( if they are 3 x 4 )

3 x 4 = 12     there are two bases   12 x 2 = 24 ft²

Lateral surfaces are

3 x 6 = 18   There are two lateral surfaces too 18 x 2 = 36 ft²

4 x 6 = 24    the same  thing  24 x 2 = 48 ft²

Addying the area of all the surfaces

24 + 36 + 48 = 108 ft²
