Salvador Dalí was a painter, sculptor, engraver, set designer, illustrator and expert Spanish writer of the twentieth century. He is considered one of the leading representatives of Surrealism. Born in Figueres, Gerona, Cataluña, Spain in 1904. It was noted for being a great Spanish painter, and famous not only for his beautiful brushstrokes but for his quirky style of living and thinking. Dalí decided to be excessive in all, interpret many characters and sublimate their anguish in a plurality of humorous and sordid delusions. Dali's works are known for treatment of important details, which gives plenty of light and color. He was the protagonist of European surrealism inject life to become one of the most recognized. He was able to capture in his artwork, beautiful and disturbing representations where watches are melting in the sand, play called The Persistence of Memory.
