Los adjetivos superlativos y comparativos se usan cuando queremos comparar una cosas con otra o hacer notar los cambios de una misma.

¿Cómo formar adjetivos comparativos?

Usualmente agregamos –er a adjetivos de una sílaba para hacer comparativos y agremaos -est para hacer los superlativos.

• older / oldest

Si un adjetivo termina en –e , le agregamos –r o -st según sea el caso

• larger / largest

Si un adjetivo termina en vocal y consonante , doblamos la consonante.

• bigger / biggest

Si un adjetivo termina en consonante y –y , cambiamos –y por –i y añadimos –er para el comparativo y -est para el superlativo.

• happier / happiest

Usamos more  para hacer comparativos para la mayoría de los adjetivos de dos sílabas y para todos los adjetivos de tres o más sílabas y usamos most para formar los superlativos.
