Summarize the most interesting topic for you from any of the passages we have studied so far.

For me the most interesting thing is "What do you do to help our environment?"

Work through the writing process in your notebook and write the final draft here.

What do you do to help our environment?

Climate change has already started to affect our planet in more ways than we can think of. Temperatures continue to rise across the planet and we are experiencing changes in precipitation patterns like we have never seen before. The main cause of these catastrophic effects on our planet is pollution.

First in 1031 AD the Japanese start storing used paper for recycling. Therefore all ancient documents or papyri from Japan are made from recycled paper.

Next, in 1690 AD Recycling was first introduced to manufacturing and it was in the US, in the historic town of Rittenhouse Mill, near Philadelphia, that paper fiber was made from recycled cotton and linen cloth and rags.

Finally today there is even a special date for recycling "May 17, World Recycling Day is celebrated"; date that reminds us that excess waste is a danger to nature and human health.

There is also a law, the "3Rs" Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Thanks to recycling, the disuse of potentially useful materials is prevented, the consumption of new raw material is reduced, in addition to reducing energy use, air pollution (through incineration) and water (through landfills), as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions

FOUR IMPORTANT DETAILS

1. The Japanese were the first to recycle paper

2. In 1690 AD recycling was first introduced in the manufacturing industry and it was in the US

3. There is a law, the "3Rs" Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

4. Thanks to recycling, the disuse of potentially useful materials is prevented, the consumption of new raw material is reduced

Important to mention and what is not. Reduce the original text to a few sentences or a short paragraph in your own words.

If no one in the world recycled, the world would be in great danger. If it is not recycled, there is a risk that our homes and habitats could be destroyed, and we may not have the most everyday resources. People could die from toxic gases and even the horrible stench of garbage.

It's also a good idea to answer a few questions to complete the idea:

"Who did what, where and when?"

Peggy Ayres, a researcher on the history of garbage, says that the first regulations regarding waste management came in Ancient Greece, 2,400 years ago, where it was required that garbage be buried at a distance of more than 1 km of inhabited areas.

"What is the main idea of the text?"

That recycling is very important to help our planet

"What are the support points?"

Recycling and pollution
