x -5y = 8
-7x +8y = 25

Despejamos "x" en las 2 ecuaciones

x -5y = 8     →    x = 8 +5y    (1)

-7x +8y = 25     →  -2 -8y = 7x    →      (2-8y)/7 = x    (2)


Ahora igualamos:

8 +5y = (2-8y) /7

7 (8 +5y) = 2 -8y

56 -35y = 2 -8y

56 -2 = -8y +35y

54 = 27y

54/27 = y

2 = y

y = 2

Remplazamos "y" en la 1era ecuación
x -5y = 8

x -5 (2) = 8

x -10 = 8

x = 8 +10

x = 18

y = 2
