Dave was born in the north of England. Whe he was a child his family and he used to spend their holidays in Spain where he made lots of friends. He was a very clever person but he left school soon. He began to work as a waiter. One day a chef was ill and he had to help cooking. People said it was the best food they had ever tried. He became a famous chef. That summer he spent his holidays in Spain like when he was younger, he met a woman and two years later they got married. He built 20 restaurants before he died and made a lot of money.
