It is always important to tell the truth. But there are some times in life when it´s not the best thing to do. These times are usually when we don´t want to hurt other people's feelings. The truth can sometimes make other people feel bad or unhappy. When we do this because we don´t want to hurt someone, it´s called ''telling a lie'', hurt someone, it´s called ''telling a little white lie'' and it´s OK.

Siempre es importante decir la verdad. Pero hay momentos en la vida en los que no es lo mejor que se puede hacer. Estos momentos suelen ser cuando no queremos herir los sentimientos de otras personas. La verdad a veces puede hacer que otras personas se sientan mal o infelices. Cuando hacemos esto porque no queremos lastimar a alguien, se llama "decir una mentira", lastimar a alguien, se llama "decir una mentira piadosa" y está bien.
