"Life is often very difficult in villages where people grow cocoa.

Most people do not have access to medical care, clean water and other vital facilities. But now, our situation is changing.

Because we work with Fairtrade, we now have extra money that we can spend to improve our community. We now have clean water every day. We have a health center and schools that are always open to everyone, and we love that! And what's more, we are getting a better price for our cocoa beans,

Our community is also changing. Women participate in the decisions we make. And our children do not go to work in the fields, they go to school.

se pasa por un método muy complicado pero lo hize bien :)

Explicación:

Global cocoa production averages 3.5

million tonnes a year and is dominated by

West African producers Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory

Coast) which produces around 1.4 million

tonnes a year and Ghana (730,000 tonnes).

Together with Indonesia (500,000 tonnes),

these three countries account for 73 per cent

of the world’s output. Around 70 per cent of

cocoa comes from Africa.8

Cocoa demand has been increasing by an

average of 3 per cent a year for the past 100

years. Production is projected to rise by 6

per cent between 2009 and 20139 to 3.98

million tonnes. But industry representatives

estimate that the sector will need an annual

production of at least 4.5 million tonnes of

cocoa by 2020 to satisfy the growing

demand,10 driven by rising

annymicheelpenarr: Fairtrade helps us have a better quality of life and care for the environment. Right now, we are learning how to protect our water resources. We are also learning how to compost to fertilize our plants. More productive ways, and we can sell our products to reasonable prices
annymicheelpenarr: The Fair Trade technicians are technicians with the communities to train people to be more efficient and to use their resources in a better way. Many farmers like me are taking courses to learn new techniques so that we can use the methods on our own farms.⁹
