Assuming the disappearance of Mr. Hyde, the three friends Mr. Utterson, Dr. Lanion and Dr. Jeckyll return to their normal lives. After a time, they stopped hanging out and for that reason Mr. Utterson decides to visit them. First he goes to the house of Dr. Jeckyll but they tell him he's not there. So, Mr. Utterson goes to the house of Dr. Lanion who explains that he has a shock and has few weeks to live. Then, tells him that he doesn't want to see Jeckyll again and that he is also sicked. Utterson writed him a letter Jeckyll asking what happened between them and he replied with another letter, saying you agree with Lanion and that they will not see each other anymore although they would still be friends. A week later, Lanion dies and Utterson find an envelope in their office for him but it should only be opened if Jeckyll dies or it disappears, so Utterson does not open it. Then visit back to Jeckyll and opens his employee Pool, who tells him that all his employees were worried because he didn't leave his work room.
