la estructura que se usa para reportar una oración seria:
sujeto+verbo que reporta o said+ that+clause
los verbos en la clausula o la acción que la persona que hace en el momento que se habla al momento de reportar esté se cambia a un tiempo verbal anterior, es decir, si la oración base esta en presente simple al reportarse el verbo de la oración se pasa a pasado simple.

También cambian los tiempos de los que habla la persona:
