Economic or financial journalism is a branch of journalism focused on reporting on events related to the economy, including issues of finance, banking, or the stock market; It also shows how to analyze, interpret and write economic information. Newspapers specialized in economics are often called the salmon press, because of the color of the paper on which some prestigious newspapers of this type are printed. This custom was started in 1893 by the London newspaper Financial Times.
Economic journalism is based on information provided by a person who may have studied the science of economics as well as a person who studied social communication and journalism to provide better information.
