PRESENT CONTINUOUS

El presente continuo se hace con el verbo to be en presente + el verbo principal con la terminación -ing.

En el presente del verbo to be la primera persona del singular es am (I am), la tercera persona del singular es is (he/she/it is), y el resto es are (you/we/they are).

Si el verbo principal termina en vocal+consonante y esa sílaba es la tónica, la consonante se duplica (to stop - stopping).

Las oraciones afirmativas y negativas se hacen con esta estructura:

sujeto + to be + -ing

En el caso de las oraciones interrogativas la estructura varía, cambiando el orden:

to be + sujeto + -ing
