El pasado continúo es el tiempo verbal que se utiliza para representar acciones que sucedían en el pasado hasta que un suceso u acción posterior generó un cambio en la historia, también se utiliza para expresar lo que sucedía en un momento determinado del pasado.
En inglés el pasado continúo se construye utilizando el verbo to be como auxiliar junto con el verbo principal en su forma gerundio(ing).
