Prince Hamlet a hidden betrayal: Claudius fatally poisoned the dormant

King Hamlet, in order to steal his crown and his queen. The king's ghost begs Hamlet to avenge his cruel murder. Prince Hamlet agrees to do so and pretends insanity to disguise his bloody motif. Claudio hires Ricardo and Guillermo, former friends of Hamlet, to spy on the mad Prince.

Polonius, the king's chief advisor, argues that Hamlet's folly is nothing more than evil of love. Ophelia reject Hamlet's lustful admiration. Hamlet and hides with King Claudius to spy on the arranged encounter. Prince Hamlet hires a group of traveling actors to perform the play "The Mousetrap" for the royal audience.

Because the play closely reflects the murder of King Hamlet, both Hamlet and his confidant, Horace, will study the King's reaction for signs of his guilt. Hamlet nearly murders the kneeling King, but stops his vengeful sword when he remembers that a soul murdered in the midst of prayer flies directly to heaven. In Queen Gertrude's chamber, Hamlet rebukes her mother for her lustful disloyalty. Hamlet mistakes the spy for King Claudius, and plunges his sword into the curtain.

Hamlet to England as punishment. On board the ship, Prince Hamlet intercepts a treacherous letter from Claudius, ordering the King of England to execute Hamlet. Spoiling Claudio's plan, Hamlet falsifies a new letter, naming spies Ricardo and Guillermo as those condemned to die.

Claudio proposes a fencing competition arranged between the Prince and

Village. As planned, Laertes strikes Hamlet with the poisoned sword. In combat, they exchange lunges and Hamlet cuts Laertes with the toxic weapon. With his last breath, Hamlet supports the appointment of Fortinbrás as the next King of Denmark. Surrounded by the royal massacre, Hamlet begs Horace to tell his tragic story to the world.​
