Tengo estos problemas de química y no entiendo nada. Los ejercicios están redactados en inglés. ES A CERCA DE LOS GRAMOS/MASA
1. A 2.5 grams sample of groundwater contains 5.4 μg of zinc ions Zn + 2. What is the
concentration of zinc ions in parts per million?
2. Calculate the parts per million in the following solutions:
a) 128 mg of sodium Na + 1 ions in 750 ml of water
b) 2.5 mg Al + 3 aluminum ions in 1.5 liters of ocean water
c) 172 mg of potassium ions K + 1 in 850 ml of water
3. Calculate the amount of mg of solute that is dissolved in the following solutions:
a) 3.20 L of a water sample that has a concentration of 15 ppm of strontium ions
b) 9.8 L of ocean water that has a concentration of 65 ppm of bromide ions
c) 15 L of ocean water having a concentration of 3x10-4 ppm of silver ions
4. A water sample contains 3.5 mg of fluoride ions in 825 ml of water. Calculate the ppm of fluoride ions in the sample (assume the density of the diluted solution equals 1g / ml)
5. The maximum allowable concentration of arsenic in drinking water in the US is 0.05 ppm.
Calculate the milligrams of arsenic in 350 grams of water. Assume that the density of water
is equal to 1 g / ml.
6. Natural orange juice contains 0.15 micrograms of lead per milliliter. How many parts per million does orange juice contain?
7. The maximum allowable concentration of mercury in canned tuna is 0.5 ppm. How many milligrams of mercury does a 350-gram can of tuna contain?
8. The permissible limit of lead in a child's blood is 0.4 ppm. How many grams does it contain for each milliliter of blood? Assume the density of blood equal to 1 g / ml.
