America, I don't take your name in vain, when I hold the sword against my heart, when I stand in the soul with leaks, when coming through the windows, one of your new days pierces me, I am and I remain in the light that produces me, I live in the darkness which makes me what I am, I sleep and awake in your essential sunrise: as sweet as the grapes, and as terrible, bearer of the sugar and the whip, drenched in sperm of your species, breastfed in blood of your legacy.
