Hola,

The present continuous in English is used to describe actions that are still occurring in that moment. Sometimes, though, we can use it to describe actions that may take place/could occur in the future.

For example: I am eating lunch now. (Present) vs. We are going to eat lunch now. (Future)

1. I think it is going to rain.

2. Luigi is going to go to the doctor next Monday.

3. Perhaps I am going to learn a new language.
