Michael Jordan
He was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York (United States), although his childhood was developed in Wilmington, North Carolina.

It was at the University of this city where he was awarded a basketball scholarship. In the 1983-1984 season he was elected the best university player and, this last year, he won the gold medal in the Olympic Games with the United States team.

In 1984 he left the university to play with the Chicago Bulls of the NBA. He finished the 1986-1987 season as second player, after Wilt Chamberlain, in scoring more than 3,000 points in a single season. He was top scorer of the NBA for seven consecutive seasons (1987-1993), with an average of 30 points per game in all seasons. He became the Chicago Bulls' leading scorer with 21,541 points and broke many NBA scoring records.

 
 

Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to his first NBA championship in 1991, a title he revalidated consecutively in 1992 and 1993. He was also part of the Dream Team, which won the gold medal at the Games held in 1992 in Barcelona.
