El Past Continous es el verbo auxiliar en pasado mas el verbo normal terminado en ING.. Así.. Subject (I/You/He/She/It/We/You/They) (O cualquier nombre de persona o animal o cosa) + Auxilar Verb to be (Was/Were) + Verb in ING (cualquier verbo pero que termine en ing) + Complement.
Ejemplos:
1. I was playing football yesterday.
2. I was cooking the dinner.
3. She was crying yesterday.
4. They were climbing the mountain.
5. He was talking exam last week.
6. You were studying math.
7. They were eating fish.
8. She was buying a sweater.
9. You were reading a book.
10. I was listening to music.
11. He was writing a poem.
12. You were working in the office.
13. We were learning english the last month.
14. It was raining yesterday.
15. I was waiting for her yesterday.
