2x + 3y = 1     (1)      ⇒    2x + 3y = 1 
 -x -    y = 5     (2)      ⇒   -2x - 2y = 10 
                                                 y = 11
2x + 3(11) = 1
2x  + 33 = 1
2x = 1 - 33
  x = -32/2
  x = -16
