Las oraciones son unidades con sentido gramatical completo que buscan transmitir una idea. Las oraciones en presente simple buscan transmitir hábitos o cosas que siempre son ciertas. De este modo, 10 oraciones en presente simple son:
- I usually go away at weekends
- The earth goes round the sun
- The shop opens at 8 in the morning
- Rice doesn’t grow in cold climates
- I get up at 6 o’clock every morning

Presente simple:
Usamos presente simple para:
- Hablar de cosas en general
- Hablar de cosas que ocurren repetidamente
- Hablar de la frecuencia con que se hacen acciones
- Hablar de hábitos
Las oraciones en presente simple pueden ser:
Oraciones en presente simple afirmativas:
La estructura es: Sujeto + verbo + complemento
Cuando el sujeto es tercera persona: She, he, it, al verbo se le debe agregar -es o –s.
Por ejemplo:
- you get up at 5 oclock
- She always studies in the afternoon
Oraciones en presente simple negativas:
En este tipo de oraciones utilizamos auxiliares como : Don’t (I, you, we, they) y doesn’t (she, he, it)
La estructura es: Sujeto + dont/ doesnt + verbo + complemento
En este caso, al verbo no se le agrega –es y –s
Por ejemplo:
- you don’t get up at 5 oclock
- She doesn’t study in the afternoon
Oraciones en presente simple interrogativas:
En este tipo de oraciones utilizamos auxiliares como : Do (I, you, we, they) y does (she, he, it)
La estructura es: Do/ does + sujeto+ verbo + complemento + ?
En este caso, al verbo no se le agrega –es y –s
Por ejemplo:
- Do you get up at 5 o’clock?
- Does she study in the afternoon?
