Parece razonable pensar que el núcleo familiar es el espacio adecuado para iniciar la construcción de un lector, ya desde la primera infancia. Sobre todo, teniendo en cuenta que es en ese tramo de edad cuando puede comenzar y asentarse la educación de los sentidos y de los sentimientos. De la misma manera, podemos considerar que es el momento adecuado para degustar la oralidad, aportadora de ritmo, afecto, complicidad… y los primeros libros. Es tiempo de escuchar las palabras que arrullan, que duermen, que sanan; de ver, leer e interpretar las imágenes que proyectan sueños, que construyen historias. Hablaremos de estos temas y de la implicación de la familia desde la biblioteca pública y la biblioteca escolar.

It seems reasonable to think that the family nucleus is the adequate space to start the construction of a reader, since early childhood. Above all, bearing in mind that it is in this age group when the education of the senses and feelings can begin and settle down. In the same way, we can consider that it is the right moment to taste the orality, contributor of rhythm, affection, complicity ... and the first books. It is time to listen to the words that lull, that sleep, that heal; to see, read and interpret the images that project dreams, that build stories. Estas jornadas partirán de una reflexión sobre la lectura en una sociedad en crisis, para profundizar en el papel que los álbumes ilustrados pueden desempeñar en la tarea de hacer de la lectura una práctica cotidiana desde las primeras edades. El análisis de álbumes ilustrados, el conocimiento de instrumentos de valoración de los mismos, la selección de lecturas de calidad y el diseño de actividades y estrategias para el fomento de la lectura, formarán el núcleo central de las jornadas.

These days will start from a reflection on reading in a society in crisis, to deepen the role that illustrated books can play in the task of making reading a daily practice from the earliest ages. The analysis of illustrated albums, the knowledge of instruments to assess them, the selection of quality readings and the design of activities and strategies for the promotion of reading, will form the core of the conference.
