A triangle on a coordinate plane is translated according to the rule T–8, 4(x, y). Which is another way to write this rule?

Answer: (x, y) → (x - 8, y + 4)

Reason:

We have to see the way we can re
write the rule T <- 8, 4> (x, y), which is the way that the triangle is writen on the coordinate plane and is going to be translated. 

T <- 8, 4>: means that we are going to move -8 units on the x axis (8 units to the left), and that we are going to move +4 units on the y axis (4 units up).

So another way to describe this is: 
(x - 8, y + 4)
