development of the people without endangering the environment. To this end, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) was created in 1972, which is responsible for promoting environmental activities and raising awareness among the population about the importance of caring for the environment.
When it is mentioned that it is important to take care of the environment, one of the basic elements for life, water, is also included. We all depend on water to enjoy health, to produce food, to bathe and transport ourselves, for irrigation and industry. We also need it for animals and plants.
However, despite the importance that water has on our lives and our well-being, we waste it and pollute it.
In 1997, the "Rio + 5 Summit" took place, whose main objective was to analyze the execution of "Agenda 21", approved at the 1992 Summit.
At the 1997 Summit, various agreements were obtained and included in the final document of the session.
During the "International Decade of Drinking Water and Environmental Sanitation", from 1981 to 1990, around 1,300 million people in developing countries were helped to obtain access to drinking water and various UN agencies continue to work to promote sustainable development of fragile and non-renewable water resources in their areas of action.
That is the importance of caring for the environment and the fundamental element that is water. In Zacatecas we work in favor of these policies and that is the focus of all efforts.

Avoid burning garbage, leaves and other objects, as well as making fires in forests or in the middle of the city. Water the plants at night or very early, when the Sun takes longer to evaporate the water. Reuse the water you collected from the shower and from washing the vegetables to water the plants or the garden.
