Because Mallam was an extremely religious person who found peace for himself in faith due his blindness. He was a very nice and good person who suffers abuses from other people that take advantage of his kindness, but Mallam never did a thing to face those, until he got married, from that moment, his wife stood up for him and made the community to have more respect for him.
