Oraciones imperativas en inglésEn esta nota veremos ejemplos sobre cómo dar órdenes, instrucciones y advertencias. Este tipo de oraciones se llaman frases imperativas y se construyen con el sujeto you y un verbo en modo infinitivo.

El imperativo afirmativo  y su estructura gramatical 

Toma nota: Verbo + nombre, adjetivo...

Tell me the truth! ¡Dime la verdad!
Wash your hands! ¡Lavaros las manos!
Do your homework! ¡Haz los deberes!
Spend the money! ¡Gasta el dinero!
Go to your room! ¡Ve a tu habitación!
Look in the drawer of the dresser. ¡Busca en el cajón del tocador!

El imperativo negativo y su estructura gramatical 

Toma nota: Verbo auxiliar to do + auxiliar negativo not  + verbo + nombre, adjetivo.

Do not lie to me! ¡No me mientas!
Don't hit your sister! ¡No le pegues a tu hermana!
Do not wash in the washing machine. No lo lave en la lavadora.

Si queremos incluirnos a nosotros mismos, usamos "let's".

A modo de invitación o sugerencia, puedes utilizar Let"s cuando deseas que alguien realice algo contigo. 

Let´s = Let us (hagamos algo): 

It"s a nice day. Let"s go to the park. Es un lindo día. Vamos al parque.
Come on!! Let"s dance. ( = you and I can dance) 
Let's not fight. No nos peleemos.
