Pero hay algunas diferencia importantes, por ejemplo, en España es tradición que la persona que cumple años es la que invita a sus amigos a algo - una comida, una fiesta, una copa, aunque sea un café y unos donuts a los compañeros de oficina. Si alguien te invita a una fiesta o una comida porque es su cumpleaños entonces es importante llevarle un regalo, si solo invita a un café o galletitas en la oficina se le felicita y más nada. Lo de invitar a los amigos a algo se ajusta según la capacidad monetaria que tenga cada uno, pero yo creo que es una norma general bastante diferente a como se hace en los EEUU.
