WE ENJOYED OUR
WEEKEND!
PUT THE VERBS IN THE PAST SIMPLE TENSE
Hi to you all, last weekend was(be) really great. The
weather were (be) so nice that my Dad , Joe decided
(decide) to take us to the seaside. There wasSally, my
mum, my sister Kate and me of course Sam, the best!!.
First we got geej up early, then we all had chaves a
big breakfast, Dad drankdrink) too much coffee as usual! Kate
helped (help) Mum to prepare tņe lunch basket I gave gives Dad a
hand with loading the car, so we put (put) some beach towels, a beach
umbrella, deck chairs and all our beach toys in the boot, it was(be) full. Then
it was (be) time to go. Dad droverdrive) all the way to Torquay. It was
(be) very hot , so there were (be) lots of people on the beach, My sister
and I played play with our toys, we made (make) sandcasties
with Mum, we went (80) swimming in the sea with Dad, but
the water were (be) still a bit cold! We hadnave) lunch on
the beach then we played (play ball together. A little later in
the afternoon, Dad just relaxedrelax) and read
his Sunday paper, Mum Sunbathed (sunbathe) to get a nice

Hi to you all, last weekend was really great. The weather was so nice that my Dad, Joe decided to take us to the seaside. There was Sally, my mum, my sister Kate and me of course Sam, the best!!.

Kate helped Mum to prepare the lunch basket I gave Dad a hand with loading the car, so we put some beach towels, a beach umbrella, deck chairs and all our beach toys in the boot, it was full. Then
it was time to go. Dad drove all the way to Torquay. It was very hot , so there were lots of people on the beach, My sister and I played with our toys, we made sandcasties with Mum, we went swimming in the sea with Dad, but
the water was still a bit cold! We had lunch on the beach then we played ball together. A little later in the afternoon, Dad just relaxed and read his Sunday paper, Mum sunbathed to get a nice read.
