1- Do you have any recommendations to give to young people who are inclined towards your career?
Psychology is a very diverse subject and not all of the topics covered will be interesting, it’s a very versatile degree in that when you graduate, you can do one of many things whether it’s counseling, med school, law school, law enforcement, etc. If you are interested in a deeper understanding of the human condition you should consider studying psychology, it will help you understand human behaviour and mental processes and allow you to better understand how we think act and feel.
2- Is there another profession that you would have liked to take up?
Yes, in my early years I wanted to become a doctor, the whole business of anatomy, physiology, how the body works and the treatment of mental health problems was amazing for me. But then my interest was caught in the application of psychology in clinical settings where people have emotional or psychological difficulties so I changed my career to clinical psychology.
