I chose the book “Nelson Mandela” because where I study English my teacher thought it cold be good for us. The fact that we could learn more about another country would help us with our studies and our vision of the world.

The book is written by Carl W. Hart and this is the first time I read something written by him. The story is about Nelson Mandela and his different situations in life. How he is a man who has always tried to obtain the equality between man and the freedom of the black people in South Africa. He wants to help them, he fights for their rights and struggle for their dignity. He worked as a policeman in a gold mine and then he studied law and became lawyer. He formed part of several campaigns for peace and work in South Africa. When he joined the African National Congress he found many young men who fought for equality and believed in freedom like him. Many years later Nelson Mandela was sent to jail on Robben Island. But he never dropped to fight, the struggle continued. And he achieved his goals in an admirable way with perseverance, care and always believing in himself and his people.

Particularly, the best character is Nelson Mandela because I think that he is an example to follow. He had a tough childhood and in his youth imposed many things. He always had as priority his ideals.

Personally, when I began to read it I thought the book contained a lots of facts which were boring but then I realized that it was good and important to know about this. Now I can recommend it, this book is different because tells real facts in the life of one of the most important person in the world.

After all I kept satisfied with having read it and if you have the opportunity you have to do the same.
