Well, I’d like to give you some advice about how we all can take better care of our planet.

First of all, we should look after our trees. Sometimes it’s necessary to cut down trees, but in that case, [we should always plant another tree in a different place to replace the ones we’ve cut down.]¹ And animals… they really need our help. You should take care of animals and look after them. [It’s really not cool to mistreat them! And if you have a pet, then make sure it has a great home. For example, lots of people keep their hamsters in small cages. But this is terrible! You should always keep your hamster in a large cage so they have lots of space to run around in.]²

[And we should also save energy.]³ [You should always turn off the lights when you leave a room]⁴ and of course [you should always try and save water.]³ [So you should always remember to turn the tap off when you brush your teeth.]⁵

Bien, me gustaría darles algunos consejos sobre cómo podemos cuidar mejor nuestro planeta.

En primer lugar, deberíamos cuidar nuestros árboles. A veces es necesario talar árboles, pero en ese caso, siempre deberíamos plantar otro árbol en un lugar diferente para sustituir los que hemos talado. Y los animales... realmente necesitan nuestra ayuda. Hay que cuidar a los animales y atenderlos. No está bien maltratarlos. Y si tienes una mascota, asegúrate de que tenga un buen hogar. Por ejemplo, mucha gente tiene a sus hámsters en jaulas pequeñas. Pero esto es terrible. Siempre hay que tener al hámster en una jaula grande para que tenga mucho espacio para correr.

Y también deberíamos ahorrar energía. Deberías apagar siempre las luces cuando sales de una habitación y, por supuesto, deberías tratar de ahorrar agua siempre. Así que hay que siempre deberías acordarte de cerrar el grifo cuando te cepillas/lavas los dientes.

Estas sencillas acciones marcarán realmente la diferencia para nuestro planeta: ¡hazlas!

2. Recuerda el uso del verbo modal 'should':

Usamos 'should' para expresar recomendaciones u obligaciones morales.  

Este verbo modal va seguido del infinitivo del verbo principal (sin la partícula 'to') y tiene la misma forma para todos los sujetos.

Ejemplo:
