(Debate entre un ambientalista y un político)
Debate between an environmentalist an a politician:
-Environmentalist: Did you now that in all the places where there is life there is water, and how we manage the current water crisis will determine the future prospects of life on the planet or at least that of the human being.
(Sabía usted que en todas partes donde hay vida hay agua, y la forma en que gestionamos la actual crisis de agua , determinará las perspectivas del futuro del planeta, o por lo menos, la del ser humano)
Politician: I know, we have it clear, and i must say that its better to live life as we want with abundant money in our pockets in what we have of life to some, just as we know that at some point we are going to die. The crisis will not cease, everything its planned at some point we will have to extinguish.
(Lo sé, lo tenemos claro y debo decir que es mejor vivir la vida como queramos con abundante dinero en nuestros bolsillos en lo que nos queda de vida a algunos, igual sabemos que en algún momento nos vamos a morir. La crisis no cesará, todo está previso, en algún momento nos vamos a extinguir.
Environmentalist:What a pity he gives me his poor argument, does not see that many people, the next generations, also have full right and enjoyment of water just like ours and far from it, the human being rides on a capitalist system whose goal is to accumulate Economic benefit, and advances so fast that it has lost systemic vision - we are interconnections, we are a planet - it only sees its reality and the short term. In this way we are destroying our sources of water: we extract it from rivers or aquifers for agriculture, industry, to drink ... much faster than nature can  replenish. Much better to extend our life time, contributing to sit waiting to die
(Qué pena me da su pobre argumentación, acaso no ve que muchas personas, las siguientes generaciones, tienen también derecho pleno y gozo de agua al igual que la nuestra y muy aparte de ello, el ser humano cabalga sobre un sistema capitalista cuya meta es acumular beneficio económico, y avanza tan rápido que ha perdido visión sistémica -somos interconexiones, somos un planeta-, sólo ve su realidad y el corto plazo. De esta manera estamos destruyendo nuestras fuentes de agua: la extraemos de ríos o acuíferos para la agricultura, la industria, para beber... mucho más rápido de lo que la naturaleza la puede reponer, mucho mejor alargar nuestro tiempo de vida, contribuyendo que sentádonos esperando a morir)
Politician: I think that we can´t do more for our world, it's my point of view.
(Pienso que no podemos hacer más por nuestro mundo, es mi punto de vista)
Environmentalist: you are so sick and so wrong.
(Usted está muy enfermo y tan equivocado)
