¿Cómo respondo esto?

While I was sitting / sat in the park, I watched all the people. Some people were drinking / drank coffee. Some people were running / ran around the park to keep in shape. It was / was being interesting to watch. But when it was starting / started raining, everyone went home.

Bbekiari: Podríamos decir que sí y no. "But" es una conjunción y en una oración compuesta, un coordinador ("coordinator"); sin embargo para que sea usado en una oración compuesta debe haber una coma.
