“ Hi Zoe. I have enjoyed talking with you over coffee recently. You and I do have a lot of similar travel experiences. But, I have noticed your comments now direct me to what I should do. Or, what I should have done. I really don´t like that. It makes me feel devalued as a person. Though I will see you for coffee again next week, if you continue to speak to me this way, I will have to pass on the next coffee date. I would prefer that we focus our conversations on the positive, instead of on negative past events that no longer affect our lives.”
