biológico y lo social tiene una extraordinaria actualidad en el mundo científico. Es por esto que se realizó una revisión del tema con el objetivo de profundizar en la misma, determinar la influencia de los social en el individuo e identificar la aplicación de estos conceptos en la estomatología. Se expusieron algunos conceptos filosóficos, se explicó la evolución biológica del hombre hacia lo social, el enfoque de éste como ser biosicosocial, la influencia de los factores biológicos, sociales y psicológicos en el hombre y se manifestó la aplicación de estos conceptos en la disciplina Estomatología Social donde se integran los conocimientos y se educa al estudiante en una concepción científica y social de la Estomatología. Se concluye que existe una relación inseparable entre lo biológico y lo social, el medio social influye en el individuo y la Estomatología Social profundiza en esta relación.

ABSTRACT
The problem of the relationship of the biological and social factors has and extraordinary relevancein the scientific world. So, a review of the topic was carried out with the aim of deepening in it, determining the influence of social factors in the individual and indentifying the application of the concepts in odontology. Some philosophycal concepts were stated. biological evolution of man towards society, the approach of him as a biosyhosocial being, the influence of biological, social and psychological factors in man were explained, and the application of these concepts was manifested in the discipline social Odontology, in which these knwoledges are integrated, and students are educated in a social and scientific conception of Odontology. Concluding, there is a close relationship among biological and social factors; the social environment affects the individual and social Odontology intensifies this relationship.
