Have you ever had a family member or close friend murdered before? I have had the misfortune of losing a loved. Because of this experience, I think that all criminals should be put to death. If you leave them they will continue to murder people. Let’s make sure crime does not continue in this country! (anonymous)

The author of the text is trying to persuade the reader into thinking that what they're saying is right, first, the author writes about the experience that they had about losing a loved one to murder, since most people haven't been trough that experience, it's hard for the reader to imagine, so it's more easy to accept the others opinion since we have no experience in the matter.
