Durante su vida hubo de aceptar las condiciones de la legislación romana y seguramente conoció personas de nacionalidad romana, lo cual no sería extraño. Sin embargo, Jesús nació, vivió y murió e incluso fue enterrado como un judío. No existen muchos textos romanos en donde se haga referencia a Jesús como tal.
