It was a horrible day for Josh, He just got out of work at the ungodly hour of 3AM - He seriously regrets working overtime- and is having a nice walkthrough the cold streets of Vancouver thinking about what the warm embrace of his bed that awaits him at home. It is with these thoughts in mind that he doesn't notice the person in front of him in time, and sends them to the ground. Josh, having no desire for social interaction at this time, tries to get the victim of his crash course up to his two legs.
"Goddamnit, check where you walk next time, dork!" The, quite rightfully, angry man says to Josh as he helped him up, but his voice gave Josh pause, It seemed familiar but he couldn't quite place from whom it belonged, not that he interacted with many people to begin with.
"Have we meet before?" He asks the man who now stands over him, not that Josh was very tall to begin with. But it is his face that makes his eyes widen, 'It's Jorge!' Josh thought 'Darn, I haven't seen him in ages, he changed a lot since highschool but it seems that he never shaved those bushy eyebrows.' Josh smirked at the memory of his appearence, altough it seems that he cares more for himself now, he still has that wild look to him.
"I think you mistook me for someo-Wait... Josh?" The now-named Jorge asked astonished.
"In the flesh, It's been a long time since we last met, like 12 years ago right?" Josh confirmed.
"Yeah, I think so, Never thought I'd see you again, didn't you say that you were going to open up a pub or something like that in the UK?" Jorge asked quizzically.
"Aye, but unfortunately it never kicked off, not enough funds, y'know?" Josh answered
"Ye, ye. So, since when were you in Vancouver? Not long I suppose since I never caught sight of you" Jorge started.
"You are right, I've been here for a year now, working at a bar, not much pay but I get by. And you? I never heard of you again after we graduated."
"Eh, I mostly went my own way, I ended up as a car salesman, which I'm honestly comfortable with." By this time both men started walking once again down the streets.
"Ah, Great, I like my job too, I get to test new stuff and get wasted."
"Heh, talking about getting wasted, do you wanna go for a drink or you have other plans?"
"I'd love to, but unfortunately, i'm barely walking right now, my boss just squeezed me dry and let me leave just now." Josh laments
"Ouch, They released you just now? I thought you were just going for a morning stroll" Jorge grimaces.
"Nah, I don't like mornings that much anymore so I don't take walks as often. Why were you even awake at these hours anyways?" Josh questions.
"Hmm? Oh, I need to go to work early to check that everything is okay and clean the cars."
"Huh, I suppose you have it worse than me then."
"Well, atleast I have a nice house and car to which I can look after work so I wouldn't say its too bad."
"You have a house? Nice, shame I can't afford one due to my pay, perhaps I should've become a salesman, Eh?"
"Perhaps... Welp, it has been nice catching up with you, if you wanna hang out just call this number." Jorge produces a card from his suitand hands it to Josh who takes it gratefully.
"Thanks, I'll be sure to call afterwards. Catch you later, have a good one!" Josh exclaims and waves to Jorge as he turns opposite of him and walks down the road which takes to his apartment building.
"See ya!" Jorge waves goodbye and begins walking slightly faster after catching a glance at his clock which showed that he only had 7 minutes until he was late. Hopefully he could catch up with Josh afterwards.
