My vacation experience with a friend in Peru for 17 days from August 19 to September 4, which was an unforgettable experience and I totally recommend this country.
I arrived in Lima and stayed there for 3 days, then I took a plane to Cusco where I stayed 1 night and then I went to the Sacred Valley, there I woke up and then I went to Machu Picchu where I spent another night. Then I returned to Cusco and stayed another day that took the opportunity to visit more of the city and Maras and Moray. From Cusco I went to Puno on the Andean Explorer train. In Puno, I made the tour of the islands, sunrise at the locals' house in Amantaní and then returned to Puno. From Puno, travel to Arequipa by bus. I stayed in Arequipa for two nights and then I went to the Colca Valley, where I woke up and returned to Arequipa where I spent one night and returned to Lima by plane and returned to my country.
I coordinated the trip as I wanted online with the Rasgos del Peru Agency in Lima and I really did very well with them, the transfers, the tours were very well organized, very responsible.
I selected the hotels from the Casa Andina Private Collection chain, which I found to be very beautiful, with very good service and very well located in Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, Puno, Valle Sagrado and Aguas Calientes. The Arequipa hotel is the most beautiful of the ones I visited, although they are all very nice.
Although I traveled accompanied, I consider that there is no problem in traveling alone, in addition to tourist sites such as Cusco or Arequipa, you can buy tours directly and it is not expensive. In addition there are many tour operators with whom you can take the tours to suit you and the day you want.
If you are going to buy souvenirs and you have time at the end in Lima, do it in Lima, where there are shopping centers with handicrafts from all over the country and at the same prices as Cusco or Arequipa for example.
The trip on the Andean Explorer tourist train from Cusco to Puno is a bit expensive but it is really worth every dollar you pay, it is an unforgettable experience. The trip lasts 10 hours approx.
The buses from Puno to Arequipa of the Cruz del Sur Company have very good service, they are double-decker buses and the trip lasts 6 hours. El Puno apart from Lake Titicaca there is not much to see in the city.
Well, I hope it is helpful for you

Machu Picchu is a magical place, loaded with a lot of energy that activates all the senses. Walking around the entire citadel is wonderful. Be careful to see the orientation arrows.
