January 15 is Martin Luther King Jr´s birthday. He was a great American. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929, he
___1___ a minister like his father, Martin Luther King, Sr. He ___2___ hard for black and poor people. He was a great
speaker and ___3___ the Nobel Peace Prize. In many parts of the southern states, there were many laws that were not
fair to African – Americans. They ____4___ many rights, they could not vote. So they did not have many chances to
change the laws. Martin Luther King Jr. was a powerful speaker so many people ___5__ to him. He used to say that
“Many people together can change things” “Use love not violence”. He __6__ very interesting and powerful speeches
that inspired people´s lives. He had to struggle to be listened and during this process he was arrested and put into jail,
however, he did not quit writing books and speeches about freedom and equality among black and white peopleHe ___7___ various incidents, his house was bombed and he was subjected to personal abuse too. In 1964 he received
one of the most important awards a person can get, the Nobel Peace Prize. He got it due to his work helping poor people,
