Para responder como corresponde en las oraciones dadas primero aprenderemos en que ocasiones se usa "a","an", "some" y "any". Los artículos indefinidos, en inglés los artículos indefinidos son "a" y "an".

¿Cuándo usar "a" o "an"?

Sabremos cuál usar si detallamos la primera letra de la palabra que le sigue. Utilizamos "a" cuando la palabra siguiente comienza en consonante o por "u" y "eu". Ejemplo:

a boy
a car
a helicopter
a big elephant
a european
a university

Utilizamos "an" cuando la palabra que le sigue comienza en vocal o "h" muda. Ejemplo:

an apple
an elephant
an ugly duck
an hour
an honor
an itchy sweater

Veamos cómo aplicamos esto a las oraciones dadas.

Are there __ girls in your football team?

Debido a quién va a acompañar la palabra que falta es "girls", vemos que esta comienza en consonante, así que en el espacio colocaremos "a".

Tenemos otro ejemplo: There was an accident on the bridge last night.

Para "some" y "any", veremos los pronombres indefinidos.

Pronombres indefinidos

Los pronombres indefinidos se refieren a lugares, personas o cosas sin especificación alguna. Están formados por: any, some, no y every.

Los pronombres indefinidos pueden señalar personas, lugares o cosas; de forma afirmativa, como negativa y a su vez todo o nada. Para esta ocasión nos enfocaremos solo en "some" y "any".

Some: Lo usaremos para oraciones afirmativas, cuando queremos expresar una cantidad de algo o poca cantidad de algo. Ejemplos:

Here, have ___ nuts!
They can have ___ bread and butter if they're hungry.

Ambas oraciones se completan con "some", ya que el contexto de ambas es que hay cierta cantidad y se puede agarrar cierta cantidad de algo. Nos quedaría así.

Any: Se usa para oraciones negativas, para expresar que no queda nada sé algo o para preguntar si algo o poca cantidad de algo. Ejemplos:

Have you got __ paper clips?

There isn’t __ tea in the pot.

Ambas oraciones se responden con "any" la 2 nos pregunta por una cantidad y la 10 nos dice que no hay nada de té en la tetera. Ambas nos quedarían.
